Pure white paint is very rarely used when painting white flowers. In the highlights, I used cadmium red and yellow ochre in the white to create warm tones. In the shadows, I used ultramarine, black, and cadmium red in the white to create cooler tones. Pure white was only used on the tips of the pedals and grasses in areas I really wanted to pop.
