Bowser Jr.'s Boom Bunker - Mission 1
Bowser Jr.'s Boomsday Machine
Wow, that's a huge tank! Bowser Jr. is really pulling all the stops in trying to get rid of Mario, but can he really get anything done with how dreadfully slow that thing moves?
Well, we begin where Megahammer left off. Or at least, the remains of Megahammer as fallen all over this planet. The Toad Brigade is here for some reason, perhaps to tell Mario it's safe. And because it's so safe, it's just a short little walk to the Boomsday Machine.
This is the only boss fight where the Cloud Flower is used. I don't think I properly introduced this yet, so here goes: The Cloud Flower gives Mario a fluffy hat and three clouds that follow him. By spinning, Mario can produce a cloud as a platform for several seconds. The clouds don't regenerate. Instead, Mario needs to grab another Cloud Flower. Clouds are wispy and light and can be carried by the wind, as you can see here. Not as obvious is that Mario can travel further with his jumps, and once he's used up all three of his clouds, his spins too.
I'll give a proper introduction to some Cloud Flower based platforming later on. Much later on, though.
Now, while I put up the Daredevil mission for the World 3 boss, I chose not to put up Mission2 of this boss of World 5 despite it being a Daredevil mission. This is because Mario must once again traverse the stage, except the layout is substantially different.
