How to test zener diodes in practice + schematic & demo. Important: vary the voltage when testing. Say: 25 V for 2-18 V zeners, 40 V for 18 V-32 V zeners etc. By the way: with the 10 K resistor nothing can go wrong when testing on 50 Volt, current is too small.
Due to the fact that I had only one hand to push the “zener under test” on the board/the flat copper electrodes, the demo was (perhaps) not so succesfull as I had wanted.
But, anyway, the circuit works very properly + the schematic is universal and very usable, and I have given the right resistor values to test all kinds of zener diodes, rated under 50 Volt and all relevant info, especially about the possible temperature sensitivity, the use of a digital voltmeter for serious tests e.g on temperature, etc.
You can test zeners up to 45 Volt with a power supply of 50 Volt with this schematic, given the resistors & their wattage values in the schematic + demo.

Regarding all my video’s: I constantly keep them actual, so the original video’s with the most recent information are always on YouTube. That is the source, and search there. When my video’s are reproduced or re-edited on other websites/channels you can not (!) be sure about the original content (=really working electronics) and important adaptations to the circuits.
Be aware of that, I saw on the internet my circuits reproduced in a poor or even not proper way. I can not help that, sorry. Update 14 June 2019.
