Edwardsville is a borough in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, United States. Edwardsville was first settled in 1768 by settlers from Connecticut. It was later incorporated as a borough in 1884. U.S. Route 11 is the only major highway running through Edwardsville. According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.1 km2), of which 1.2 square miles (3.0 km2) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2), or 2.95%, is water. The Susquehanna River makes up the borough’s southern border.
