Inspiration for the Season - A Veteran's Story of Giving Back

Our Triumph Family is a community that shows up with hearts wide open to help others. We stay close through life's ups-and-downs, offering hope, encouragement, and meaningful connections.

As we prepare for the holiday season - we want you to meet Scoba.

He's a Navy veteran, paraplegic, and one of our first Care Pack recipients - who is now an active community member and new peer-mentor for Triumph, who is living his life to his fullest ability, and turning around to give back.

In 2009, a life-changing surgery left Scoba facing paralysis not knowing what comes next. During the early stages of his recovery, he met Triumph and was given a Care Pack that provided answers to questions he didn't even know he had yet.

He stayed connected and engaged; and felt a calling to serve others the same way he was once helped.

Today, Scoba is one of Triumph's newest Ambassadors with a mission to help others achieve their goals after injury. He works with Paralyzed Veterans of America and helps lead our SCI group at the Long Beach VA.

Triumph's guidance and community was a turning point for Scoba, and he's now on the front-lines meeting and assisting kids, adults and veterans delivering Care Packs and embracing them to turn tragedy into triumph.
