The Camino de Santiago or the Way of St. James is a thousand year old network of trails spanning thousands of kilometers culminating at the alleged burial spot of St James: Santiago de Compostela. My parents and I walked about 100 km of the Camino Portuguese from Vigo, Spain to Santiago de Compostela. The entire walk took place in Galicia, Spain – a region with strong local identity and influences from Celtic, Roman, and Spanish culture.
My intention was to create a slow-paced long-form video with particular focus on the local landscape and Camino culture.
