Walking tour around our TROPICAL RAINFOREST garden and spice farm with houseplants GONE WILD!

In the last part of our rare plant tour videos we are taking you into our incredible tropical rainforest garden. This area started out life a couple of years ago as an arecanut plantation with a few sad bananas and not much else. Fast forward two years and we managed to transform the landscape from one where plants were barely staying alive to a place where plants truly burst into life. With black pepper, Cacao, Vanilla and Bananas this area maintained its role as a plantation and a food forest. At the same time we added in some incredible ornamental plants as well as allowing the native evergreen forest plant species to recover and we planted a few rare endemic species for good measure. By working on the soil, supporting native species and encouraging the local plant species and biodiversity we can create a truly thriving ecosystem that is brilliant not just for the native biodiversity but also for us . . . and our ornamental plants!! That way we get a beautiful landscaped rainforest environment with paths that are filled with amazing plants, and nature gets a helping hand to burst back into life, which it did in this area quite remarkably.
