Duke Students Rebuild After Hurricane Helene

Several months after Hurricane Helene devastated parts of Western North Carolina, Duke students traveled to Asheville to support recovery efforts. Organized by Jewish Life at Duke in partnership with NECHAMA, a Jewish disaster response organization, the trip focused on hands-on rebuilding. From installing insulation to hanging drywall, students rolled up their sleeves to help restore a second-story unit severely damaged by flooding.
