Empathy comes to AM Talk Radio: This is a live, on the air conversation with Lou Agosta and hosts Jusef Marei of WCEV and Dr Umarr Asfarini about expanding empathy in the community, especially the Muslim community here in Chicago. A nice moment occurs when Lou relates empathy to bullying, in politics and the school yard The take away? Remove the obstacles to empathy such as shaming, guilt, denial, and cynicism (and bullying) and then empathy naturally comes forth. Another nice moment occurs when Lou cites mitochondrial DNA and the National Geographic and IBM GeNomic project as evidence that all human beings are related - literally related.
