I remember when I was a little kid, we went camping on a beach with my mother and brother. It was both a beautiful and frightening experience, because when night fell, everyone had left, and there were no lights on the beach itself. That feeling of being alone in the middle of nowhere, doing something completely out of routine, illuminating our paths with cute colored flashlights that were barely better than the already dim moonlight, was really mesmerizing.

When we looked at the ocean, it was an infinite blanket of black, with only the waves and our steps breaking the silence. I still remember the warm sensation of feeling almost stranded on a desert island, yet always protected by my family.

That’s kind of the vibe I wanted this arrangement to have. Mysterious, soothing, dreamy, maybe a bit unsettling. I hope you feel it too!!

Now, disclaimer: I was like, 4 maybe? Most probably, we were actually in the middle of civilization and 2 minutes away from an actual house. But it’s funny how childhood memories can get so distorted in terms of perspective and proportion hahahah
