Lynk & Co Z10 Exterior and Interior, the brand’s first electric car

Based on the SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform, the Lynk & Co Z10 is an E-segment car like the VW ID.7. Lynk & Co hasn’t announced the car’s specifications in detail, but data from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has already revealed most of the information. The new EV measures 5,028 mm in length, 1,966 mm in width, and, depending on the configuration, 1,463 mm or 1,468 mm in height. The large sedan has a 3,005 mm wheelbase.

Lynk & Co has said that the Z10 has batteries operating at 800 volts, which can add 573 km of range in just 15 minutes and deliver a range of over 800 km when fully charged. As for performance, two motors allow the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.5 seconds. It’s almost certain that the range and performance specifications the company has mentioned are of different power-electric configurations.

The MIIT data has exposed three powertrain variants of the Lynk & Co Z10, all fitted with an LFP battery pack. The base variant has a 200 kW motor made by Viridi Energy Mobility Technology (VREMT) and can achieve a top speed of 210 kph. The mid-range variant gets a more powerful, 310 kW motor sourced from Quzhou Jidian Electric Vehicle Technology and can attain a higher top speed of 240 kph.

The top-end variant combines the 310 kW motor with a second, 270 kW motor, which also comes from Quzhou Jidian Electric Vehicle Technology. The additional motor allows an even higher top speed of 250 kph, and it’s safe to assume that it brings all-wheel drive capability as well, not to forget the officially stated 0-100 kph sprint time of 3.5 seconds. Both VREMT and Quzhou Jidian Electric Vehicle Technology, like Lynk & Co, are Zhejiang Geely Holding Group companies.

The Lynk & Co Z10 has a sporty exterior with split headlights, a fast-sloping coupe-inspired roofline, 21-inch wheels, a technical-looking full-width tail light and a deployable spoiler. One of its key exterior elements is RGB lights at the front and rear, a design cue that’ll particularly attract gamers and other young customers.

The Lynk & Co Z10 has a LiDAR sensor for autonomous driving functions. A full glass roof floods the interior with natural light and makes it appear even more spacious. A compact digital instrument cluster integrated into the dashboard, a freestanding 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, and electrically operated door release buttons are some of the main interior features of the car.

The Lynk & Co Z10 will be available to pre-order in China in July. In the company’s domestic market, it’s expected to be priced between 200,000 and 300,000 yuan (25,679 and 38,519 euros). There’s no word on the car’s global launch at the moment.
