This 2004 Proton Satria LXI (1.5) has been on my radar for a while now after first spotting it at our local post office around 2 years ago. I briefly spoke to the owner, told her about my love for all things Proton, and she quite rightly told me rather abruptly, "It's NOT For Sale!".

Flash forward to 2025 and channel viewer Theo got in contact with me on Facebook Messenger to tell me about a family friend, Barbara, who had sadly given up driving it due to not being able to handle the weighty steering anymore after a routine operation.

Barbara safely parked the car up in the trees by the edge of her field (to stop it from being pilfered for parts or damaged by kids!) and that is where it has stood ever since.

Jonboy Proton Hunter then (that's me) was contacted by Barbara who advised me that it was now for sale ... or was going to be scrapped.

Anyway - in the previous video I bought the car and got it home ... THEN Dad arrived to give his HONEST reaction!

Remember the mouse had also had a munch on my seats! Well ... channel legend MARK promised me that he had some. Did he? Let's go for a drive to Derbyshire, over 200 miles away to find out!
