NBA Condemns DSS, Correctional Service Over Clash, Seeks Punishment For Officers

The Nigerian Bar Association has condemned Tuesday’s scuffle between operatives of the Department of State Services and officers of the Nigerian Correctional Service over the custody of the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.
A statement by the President of the NBA, Yakubu Maikyau, called on the two agencies to take immediate disciplinary measures against the officers involved in the conduct.

He also stated that the altercation between officers of the two government agencies on the premises of the Federal High Court in Lagos is a recipe for anarchy and chaos.
