During the Year of Saint Joseph, a plenary indulgence is granted to the faithful who will recite the Litany of St. Joseph for the persecuted Church, within and without, and for the relief of all Christians suffering all forms of persecution.

Good and gracious Father, through the intercession of St. Joseph, listen to our cry for all persecuted Christians. In your mercy, grant them the comfort and joy of the Holy Spirit, that in the face of hostility and trial they may find courage and radiate love. Soften hateful hearts that we may see each other as Your children, O most loving Father. Through our Lord Jesus Christ your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit and is God forever and ever. Amen.
