Rachel is a single mom whose greatest passion outside of work is acting in small independent films. It brings joy and meaning to her life.

One day, her best friend Sam told her that someone special was about to walk into her life—and change it forever.

A few days later, the film Rachel starred in won an award at the Aroha Māori Film Festival, a unique event celebrating Indigenous voices. While attending the festival, Rachel met Nikki, a Samoan filmmaker who quickly became the woman she couldn’t stop thinking about.

Despite their different cultural backgrounds, Rachel fell for her at first sight and began to pursue her with all the excitement of new love.

But just as their romance was growing sweeter, a part of Rachel’s past made Nikki pull away…
