The first ever FIP Bronze tournament in Bulgaria, held at Padel Club Sofia, concluded with an intense women’s final between the top Spanish pairs — the No. 2 seeds, María Teresa Gómez and Blanca Cerrejón, and the No. 3 seeds, Paula Díaz and Natalia Paniagua.
From the very first point, the match was full of energy, long rallies, and incredible teamwork.
Paula and Natalia started strong, taking the first set 6–4, and were on their way to closing out the second at 5–1.
But María and Blanca weren’t done yet — they mounted a strong comeback, fighting back to 5–5, bringing the crowd to life.
In the end, the number 3 seeds held their nerve, sealing the win 6–4, 7–5 to become the first-ever FIP Bronze Sofia women’s champions.
