DESCRIPTION:
Greetings all! In this video we take a ride on board Metro North Railroad Harlem Line train #9526 en route to Grand Central Terminal from North White Plains. The train's consist was an 8 car Bombardier M7A EMU set. The Harlem Line is an 82 mile long heavy rail line operated by MTA Metro North Railroad and runs between Grand Central Terminal and Wassaic. The inner service runs local to North White Plains while the outer service runs express up to Southeast and Wassaic. On weekends, there are no direct services between Grand Central Terminal and Wassaic. Passengers must make their connection at Southeast station for the upper Harlem Line shuttle. The Harlem Line is electrified as far north as Southeast. It is the only line in the system that is used exclusively by Metro North Railroad without any other passenger train carriers running up and down the line. CSX however does service Freight customers as far north as Mount Vernon.
