How To Shorten Rigid Gas Pipe | How To Shorten Black Iron Pipe

In this video i show you how to shorten black iron gas pipe for my furnace relocation in my attic. I have about 12' of excess gas pipe running across my attic that is now a nuisance because its taking up space in the attic making it difficult to move about. I remove this excess rigid gas pipe and cap it off, then i check for leaks to make sure everything is safe. I show you how to locate the isolated shut off valve for this section of gas pipe and also show you how to turn off the gas at your gas meter.
