‘Griha Dharma’ means duties of a homely affair. But does Krishna, being the Paramatma, also have to follow his Griha Dharma? Yes, why not, after all, he was born to show us how to live an ideal life. Just like how he manifested into multiple forms for Raas Leela, this time he has to manifest to fulfil his Griha Dharma towards all of his 16008 wives simultaneously. Narada being curious about how Krishna manages all this at the exact same time; decides to visit each house and see how he fulfils his household duties as a husband, a father, a friend, a protector, a king and a companion.

Presenting ‘Griha Dharma’ by Anitha Guha’s Bharathanjali which was initially performed as a part of the thematic dance production ‘Vijayate Gopala Choodamani Part – 2’ in Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana in 2016 and later presented at various sabhas in Chennai during the margazhi season 2017-18.
