Founded in 2005, this group of teenage dancers (ages 12-18) is part of Culture Shock, a nonprofit organization based in DC. Future Shock dancers are required to maintain satisfactory grade-point averages and participate regularly in local community events. Their performances often draw large, diverse audiences and are applauded for their high level of technical and artistic excellence. Future Shock, celebrating 20 years this year, is excited to hit the stage at this year’s Funk Academy!
