http://www.firealarmsonline.com brings you this simple demonstration of how to map FRM-1 addressable relays to DNR/FSP-851R duct smoke detectors for the purpose of shutting down its respective HVAC unit. I have used separate zones for each HVAC unit and associated these zones with both the relay and detector. Note the duct detectors are programmed as supervisory latching. This is a simple way to accomplish mapping without the use of logic statements. This program will only shutdown an HVAC unit that is protected by it respective duct smoke detector. No general alarm device will shut down these units unless you map the zone (#14 - #22) to lets say a waterflow, pull station or area smoke detector.
