Exciting News: Major Retailer Heading To Weymouth - Guess Who!

Well Exciting news for #Weymouth as a Big Retailer is heading to weymouth. #Primarkis is coming soon to weymouth town,. Conor Walsh, Director of South West & North East at Primark said in a statement: “We're pleased to confirm we plan to open a new store in Weymouth located in Westham Road, taking over the former Wilko building. "Work will begin in store over the coming months, and we hope to open our doors in early 2026.

BUDGET fashion retail giant Primark is to open a store in Weymouth - and it's been described as a 'welcome boost' for the town and the high street shops. And should be exciting new for the peaple of weymouth that a big retailer is moving in.

Wilko closed its doors for the final time in October 2023 after 24 years in the town, leaving many questioning what was next for the premises.

Weymouth has been dealt a number of blows to its high street in recent years with a number of businesses closing their doors - most recently being Cineworld which is shutting on December 30 - so the arrival of a big brand chain like Primark is being welcomed with open arms. So many welcome the major store primark and as for coming to weymouth is going to be great for the town and the hoilday makers that visit the town every year. Let's hope more shops come to weymouth. So it will make Weymouth a pleasure to do shopping in weymouth much better. Lots of shops disappeared when covid 19 was around so let's hope it's the turning point for the shops in weymouth.
