Buffy/Dean :: The Churning Time Capsule [AU]

It's been 5 years since Dean left California and the love of his life behind thinking they'd be safer apart. Since then he's traveled to Hell and back, saved the planet a time or two, and thought about calling her a thousand times.

But when the Croatan virus re-emerges shortly after he departs from Sunnydale, an unstoppable surge of the undead slowly begin to ramble across the Earth, growing in numbers daily. As time progresses, Dean begins to entertain his worst fear: that maybe, just maybe, all those years ago, he was dead wrong about leaving Buffy behind.

Heading back to Sunnydale, the Winchesters joins forces with the Scooby Gang to try and end the plague of zombies once and for all. And as the two hapless souls struggle to keep fighting against the seemingly unstoppable walking dead, Dean wages a war of his own, one that may deem to be an impossible fight; for Buffy's forgiveness.
