Drawing portrait used only 1 mechanical pencil will make your drawing more realistic

Beside this one, all my pencil sketch in this channel is used only 1 mechanical pencil, Also I never shading using hand, tysu, paper or brush because it will reduce the detail and make difficult to control pencil thickness /pressure. All the shading is with pencil line by line with soft pressure. Every pressure can create different color for skin because shadow and lighting effect.

When starting to draw we will do the sketch with pencil pressure as smooth as possible because mechanical pencil is little bit shap and can cause a damage to the surface of paper. Smooth pressure is easier to erase it until we are sure the drawing is correct. when you are sure the draw is correct, you can give 50% pencil presure to perfect some detail start from the eyes
I like to shading with pencil so I can arrange percentage of pressure as lighting effect to make it looks realistic. We need 100% sure about the drawing before we give it 100 % pressure as a final looks
So in this stage I will spend hours or days to make a correction here and there until I am sure about the result
In shading it takes focus to determine which part of face needs more dark because of shadow
we imagine in 3D looks while blending pencil shading pressure for example : 30%, 50% & 70% pressure
Sometimes easier to make drawing looks similiar but the biggest challange is to give emotion or to make it looks pretty, happy, funny.
Add emotion aspect to face drawing is harder to achieve but it will give more satisfaction in final result
When face part is finish as the part that need focus, analyse and thinking, it feel little bit more relaxes
When we drawing hair as the part that make us feel more boring
We need to be very patient to continuing piece by piece. Finaly it will complete the whole amazing face
