19-year-old Alfred Brereton has been jailed for 30 months after deliberately ramming a police car with a tractor.
At 11.20pm on Sat 25 July 2024 we were called to reports of a suspected drink driver in a tractor in Malpas. Our officers attended, located Brereton and indicated for him to pull over - he failed to do so and went off-road into fields.
Brereton then used the tractor to attack the police car - with no regard for the safety of our officers. He made off from the scene but was later arrested at his home.
