From the archives: Cedar Flat Hut

Some more ancient DV footage retrieved from the archives, this time from an overnight tramp in July 2004 to Cedar Flat Hut on the West Coast of the South Island. The hut is reached following a 4-5 hour walk up the Toaroha River valley, inland from Hokitika. Ten minutes beyond the hut, in Wren Creek, are several natural hot springs which vary in temperature according to the river flow at the time (the pools may also need to be rebuilt after floods). The hottest can get to a balmy 45 degrees Celcius.
