HP tornadic supercell impacting central Milan at about 11am local time on the 21st of July 2023. With nearly 50kts of deep layer shear, 4000+ CAPE and strong curvature of hodographs in the lowest few km, it was easy to see that tornadoes were a threat on this day. Filmed at the city gate of Milan / Arco della Pace
This storm underwent a merger and produced an F1 tornado a few miles to my northeast, ripping up roofs and structures in the Milan suburbs. Sadly I didn't see this tornado, just the rotating mesocyclone before getting hit by rain and wind from the storm's RFD.
