Texas Redistricting Map Blocked: Texas Republicans Respond

A federal judicial panel has struck down the use of the new Texas redistricting map designed to help Republicans gain five more seats in the U.S. House, saying the map was racially gerrymandered. The state of Texas plans to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court. Dr. Robin Armstrong, member of the Finance Commission of the Texas Republican National Committee and commissioner for Galveston County’s Precinct 4, discusses what this decision on the 2025 redistricting map means for Texas politics.
