The aurora forecast didn’t promise much for the night – but satellite data hinted at some activity. I decided to head out to Lake Savojärvi in Kurjenrahka National Park, and it paid off.
Under a bright almost full moon, the calm lake mirrored the night sky as northern lights danced gently on the horizon, creating a peaceful reflection scene.
