Kasuwar kurmi market in Kano, North-west Nigeria is our stop this week. The market plays host to visitors from within and outside the country who visit for trade purposes. The attraction is Africa's craft, which includes bronze, silver, wood work, weaving and wares amongst others.
Kasuwar kurmi is one of the oldest markets in Nigeria and was built by the first Hausa Emir of Kano, Mohammed Rumfa over 500 years ago
