The birth of Siena Gabrienne from the mother's perspective.

January 13th, 2022 at 6am I woke up to contractions (hopeful these were the real deal after experiencing prodromal labor). I thought to myself “all that walking around at Disney to celebrate Stella’s 7th birthday the day before did the trick” 😆 I decided to run downstairs to tidy up before we had our birth team over. The contractions started picking up in intensity so I went back up and told Lee that I was sure this was it. He texted our friend who also serves as one of his aviation videographers and I’m sure he then fell back asleep as it was still relatively early in the morning. I decided to get in the tub and soon after our son woke up and wanted to join. As soon as he got in the tub my water broke. I started to call Lee’s name but he was definitely asleep by this point so I started banging on the wall to get his attention. 😆 I grabbed my phone and texted our midwife to let her know my water broke. She was on her way but about an hour out from assisting another birth. Lee came running in and got Steele out of the tub and then woke the girls up. Lee was so afraid I was going to give birth before our midwife could make it but she made it in literally minutes before Siena’s grand entrance. 🙌🏼😅 goodness, everything happened so fast! I’m so emotional watching this!
