African #refugees in #Libya
Six days ago, Libyan police arrested more than 100 asylum seekers, including from different African countries. The police forbid them from living outdoors and ask them to rent.
Among those arrested are many families. Right away! African embassies in Tripoli and the UNHCR called on authorities to release the asylum seekers after five days of detention.
According to testimonies, the police gave them food, but they did not want to be arrested again.
Our African Refugee Rights initiative asks human rights organizations to look into this issue and in particular to look into the case of refugees in Egypt because among asylum seekers in Libya, more than 50% come from there - down. Egypt where they are poorly treated and deprived of the right to a travel document.

اللاجئون الأفارقة في ليبيا
وقبل ستة أيام، اعتقلت الشرطة الليبية أكثر من 100 طالب لجوء، بما في ذلك من دول أفريقية مختلفة. تمنعهم الشرطة من العيش في الخارج وتطلب منهم الإيجار. ومن بين المعتقلين العديد من العائلات. حالا! ودعت السفارات الأفريقية في طرابلس والمفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين السلطات إلى إطلاق سراح طالبي اللجوء بعد خمسة أيام من الاحتجاز. وبحسب الشهادات، قدمت لهم الشرطة الطعام لكنهم لم يرغبوا في إلقاء القبض عليهم مرة أخرى.
تطلب مبادرتنا لحقوق اللاجئين الأفارقة من منظمات حقوق الإنسان النظر في هذه القضية، وعلى وجه الخصوص، النظر في حالة اللاجئين في مصر، لأن أكثر من 50% من طالبي اللجوء في ليبيا يأتون من هناك - إلى الأسفل. مصر حيث يعاملون معاملة سيئة ويحرمون من حق الحصول على وثيقة سفر.
