Synopsis
John Grindrod was born and raised (forged!) in the architecturally-provocative realms of Croydon -and it shows! John’s writing on British architecture is as insightful and revealing, as it is wry and good-humoured.
Previous books include 'Concretopia: A Journey Around the Rebuilding of Postwar Britain' (2013) and 'Outskirts: Living Life on the Edge of the Green Belt' (2017), which was shortlisted for the Wainwright Prize.
In this talk, John discusses ‘Iconicon’, his latest book in which he journeys around the landmark buildings of contemporary Britain.
