My latest personal best dive to a dark depth of 58 meters

Video of my latest personal best dive, this time to the cold darkness of Päijänne, -58m deep 😊

In the video, you can see very well what kind of teamwork freediving really is, even though you are going all alone to the depths. During my descent, safety divers are carefully feeling (“listening”) the rope to feel my lanyard carabiners gentle friction while it goes down with me along the depth rope. When I turn at the bottom plate at 58 meters, I pull once on the rope so that the safety divers on the surface know to schedule their descent and come to a pre-agreed depth to meet me on my ascent. 100% trust in safety divers is a must when you start pushing your limits. Freediving is a safe sport only if you follow the safety guidelines. Number one rule is: NEVER DIVE ALONE!
