The months of January and April represent the dry season in the country and farmers are often urged to plan for adequate feeds during this period. To adequately and sustainably meet this demand, some farmers are now wrapping their silage in a bid to preserve their quality and nutritional value. The move marks a shift from sale of silage compressed in open packs. Denis Otieno has more on this week’s Smart Farm.
