🔶In this video, we will continue the conversation about comparing the puppies of the so-called Alabai or, more correctly, the factory Central Asian Shepherd dogs and the puppies of aboriginal CAS, which in the homeland of this breed in Tajikistan are called Sagi Dahmarda, Sagi Chuponi, or Sagi Tochiki.

🔶In the first part of this conversation, we started the conversation with an explanation of how puppies of aboriginal Central Asian shepherds grow in their homeland in Central Asia, in particular in Tajikistan.
🔶In the second part of this discussion, we highlighted how factory puppies of the Central Asian Shepherd are mainly raised in kennels.
🔶We summarized that puppies at home in Tajikistan with flocks get a limited amount of food, they have to learn to get it for themselves early, and any hunting takes place in motion, well, plus they quickly develop the necessary tools for this - such as scent, dexterity, flexibility, speed, reactions, etc.
🔶While factory puppies have a food resource, as a rule, always in unlimited access, in connection with which the puppy's stomach stretches, and he needs more and more food. The puppy begins to grow, but at the same time his muscular and ligamentous frame is completely undeveloped due to the lack of sufficient movement. The puppy does not want to move actively, because most of the time he is busy digesting a large amount of food, and not its prey. The result of this regular over-feeding is an increase in the weight of the puppy, and as a result, very often problems with the musculoskeletal system, which initially, as we have already understood, was created focusing on a small amount of food and a large number of movements.
🔶For a more visual representation of the difference in the content of Aboriginal and factory CAS puppies, we will give specific figures related to the weight of puppies.
🔶Aboriginal puppies weigh from 3 to 4 kg by the first month of their life. Then, every month, aboriginal puppies add about the same amount – i.e. 3-4 kg each month. Thus, an aboriginal puppy approximately by the age of 3 months will weigh from 9 to 12 kg. While a puppy from the factory CAS will weigh 20 kg or more by the 3rd month!
🔶The puppy is actively growing up to an average of 11 months and adding every month from 3 to 4 kilograms by 12 months, an aboriginal puppy will weigh approximately from 33kg to 44kg, while factory puppies by 12 months weigh from 60 kg and the upper limit is hard to imagine – they meet records of 100kg dogs that they proudly tell and they show.
🔶At the withers, aboriginal CAS females grow from 65 cm to 70 cm, rarely a little higher. Factory CAS at the withers grow females from 70cm and above, and males often from 80cm and above – but this is already a topic for a separate series of videos about the difference between adult aboriginal and factory CAS.
🔶Our dear viewers, this material requires a lot of time and we will be grateful to you for evaluating our work in the form of a like, a short comment. And also don't forget to subscribe to our channel so as not to miss the next video, which will be about comparing adult factory-bred dogs with the Sagi Dahmarda.
Also please remember that alabai is not the right name for calling this breed. The Alabai breed is not the correct name for the Central Asian Shepherd dog. This name - alabai dog - came from Turkmenistan. The word "alabay" is derived from the common Turkic languages. The words "Ala" (meaning non-uniform color, with spots) and "Bai" which emphasizes the typical mottled color of the dog. So, calling the dog "alabai" we just talk about the fact that it is variegated and/or spots - sounds wildly, especially if the dog is Central Asian Shepherd predominantly one color.
