This story is a powerful cautionary story about Richard, a calm, sweet, and highly promising young man from Edo State whose bright future is tragically destroyed after he enrolls at the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri.
Richard leaves home as the beloved Golden Boy, expected to achieve great things. However, loneliness and poor choices lead him to join the infamous Black Axe Confraternity.
His gentle nature is violently erased, replaced by the ruthless persona of the Black Axe. Richard quickly becomes the dominant and feared cult leader.
His reign of terror and dominance is short-lived. His expanded criminal empire draws the attention of the Police, leading to his inevitable arrest, conviction, and sentencing.
The story serves as a stark lesson: the temporary power and false promises of cultism lead only to the complete destruction of one's future and life.
