How run the device down and how to clean it:
Run the extruder at a reduced screw speed (approx. 200 min-1) without feeding material.
Increase quantity of water
Decrease temperature, if necessary
Wait until the discharge volume reduces considerably and moistens
If necessary, run the extruder with a neutral material in order to remove the old material from the barrel
Run the extruder empty
Switch off the drive
Disconnect thermocouple
Dismount Modular Cooling Die
Loosen the union nut, take off the die head and clean it
Disconnect CAN wiring
Dismount the burstin pin, pressure transducer and melt temperature thermocouple in hot condition
Dismount hopper, dosing pin and 2 ¾“ adapter
Dismount 18 liner screws and 2 side dosing plugs
Open liner
Push out the screw towards the die side
Clean the screw and the barrel
Switch off the heating system
