I am a professional dog behaviorist. This video is an educational analysis created under fair use. It is not intended to attack or discredit Cesar Millan. The goal of this channel is to help dog owners better understand canine behavior, body language, learning, and how small changes in human behavior can create big improvements for dogs.
In this episode of Dogs Decoded, I analyze an episode of Cesar 911 titled “Violent Vizsla Attacks Kids And Leaves Mom With Scars.”
What we are watching is a 5-month-old puppy displaying normal puppy behavior — jumping, mouthing, licking faces, and struggling to regulate excitement — because the puppy was never taught how to behave calmly around humans.
When puppies aren’t given clear expectations, structure, and guidance early on, their behavior can quickly become overwhelming for families. Unfortunately, this often leads humans to label the dog as “out of control” or “unmanageable,” when the real issue is a lack of foundational teaching.
In this video, we discuss:
Why allowing puppies to jump on people and invade personal space can quickly become dangerous
How inconsistency and confusion prevent dogs from learning calm behavior
Why isolating dogs in backyards increases frustration instead of solving problems
How many dogs are surrendered for behaviors that were never properly taught
Why high-value food and rewards can be powerful tools for teaching self-regulation when used intentionally
This episode isn’t about blaming owners.
It’s about understanding dogs better — and doing better for them.
