A living-room mishap spirals out of control: the kitten blames McQueen for a broken vase, the superhero cat Jay gets angry, and McQueen is thrown into the river. Swept into a distant forest, he’s seized by a tree creature and transformed into Root Monster McQueen. Fueled by anger and injustice, the monster storms toward the city—kidnapping a Husky taxi driver, wrecking a gas station, and overpowering the police as the chaos airs live on TV.
Realizing the truth, the kitten confesses: “It was me.” That honest plea softens Root Monster McQueen, revealing the friend beneath the roots. Jay apologizes for his anger, then uses a chainsaw to cut away the roots—restoring McQueen. The three return home together.
