Visiting the British Normandy Memorial

A look at the British Normandy Memorial at Vers-sur-Mer, with the additional 'Standing with Giants' installation - 'For their tomorrow.'

From our base in Beyeux, as part of our 2024 Normandy road trip, we start by pulling into the British Normandy Memorial. We then take a walk along the path to the memorial, passing the story of the D-Day Landings and the battle to free Normandy.

After a walk around the British Normandy Memorial, we head to the 'For Their Tomorrow' installation, walking between the 1,475 silhouettes representing those who died on D-Day as we overlooked Gold Beach.

Returning to the top, we passed the waymarkers for Utah, Omaha, Juno, and Sword beaches before wrapping up our visit.
