DIY Metal Lathe - custom design and manufactured. Part 1 of a 3 part series to build your own homemade CNC metal lathe. Using steel, aluminum, a welder, and hand tools, (and just a little bit of help from my CNC vertical mill for a custom bracket) I was able to make a fully functional CNC metal mill for under $900.
