Poe realizes that it's not all about "getting in an x-wing and blowing something up." He realizes that he has to take responsibility for his actions as a leader. And to not bet on bad odds in a given situation. Poe learns this from Leia and Holdo, and he learns this from his failed plan with Finn and Rose.
