Join us as we embark on an unforgettable journey to the western side of Dirk Hartog Island, Western Australia's largest and most remote island. Accessible only by boat and barging a 4x4 across from Shelter Bay, this pristine paradise offers unparalleled beach fishing, rugged coastal landscapes, and secluded camping experiences.

What to Expect in This Video:

We drive 10 hours overnight, get 3 hours sleep, set off in the boat for over 3 hours to fish in absolute paradise. We catch some good fish then sleep at Shelter Bay in our swag, swapping the rangers a yellowfin tuna for a good site!

You can access Shelter Bay by 4x4, if you could get a long booking, we would recommend taking the boat over from Denham and the car on the off-road track. This would allow more freezer room and you could set up a proper campsite and save a heap of boat fuel by lugging it over in the car!.

We explore Steep Point and take the back road track home admiring the beautiful cliff tops and blow holes.
