DNS Entrance Exam

Entrance Exam for Sponsorship in
Diploma in Nautical Science Leading to (B.Sc.)
(Applied NAUTICAL SCIENCE)

NOTE: Sponsorship is only for placement of Candidates in IMU approved pre sea training
Institutes and DOES NOT INCLUDE FEES for the Candidate. It is mandatory for candidates
to clear the IMUCET exam so as to be eligible for interview and selection.

Eligibility:

• Should have been born on or after 01 September 1999
• As on commencement of course the candidate should not be more than 25
years of age.
• Should have scored minimum 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
in Class XII or Equivalent
• Should have scored minimum 60% Overall Aggregate in Class XII or
Equivalent
• Should have obtained minimum 50% marks in English in Class X or XII or
Equivalent
• Should have passed Class XII or Equivalent OR
• Should be appearing in class XII exam in year 2024.

Examination syllabus for Recruitment of Diploma in Nautical Sciences (DNS) Sponsorship EXAM 2024:

• The examination will be conducted Online at our registered test centre.
• The examination duration will be 3 hours (180 minutes).
• The examination will comprise of 200 MCQs ( Multiple Choice Questions )

which include 100 Knowledge based questions (CBSE /ICSE syllabus )

and 100 English and aptitude-based questions.

Each question answered correctly is awarded 1 mark. There is a negative
marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer. No marks are awarded or deducted
for un- attempted questions.
• Testing Areas for Section A- Knowledge:
o Questions based on class XII Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from
approved syllabus of CBSE / ICSE board.
