This beautiful air from County Londonderry was first written down in 1855 after being collected by folk music historian Jane Ross (1810-1879). It became popularly known as 'Danny Boy' after Frederic Edward Weatherly's 1910 poem of this name was set to the tune in 1913.
I have resisted making an arrangement of this much-loved tune for a long time as there are already so many beautiful versions out there. However, I finally figured that one more wouldn't hurt anyone, so here is my take on this lovely tune!
