To Be Perfectly Frank was Sinatra's last radio series which aired on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:15 - 8:30. Frank played DJ (Hence the reference to the NBC turntable) and played his own Columbia and Capitol recordings, as well as other artists, but also sang new songs which were pre-recorded in Hollywood and broadcast on this show. Frank had previously recorded That Old Black Magic in 1946 and would do so again in 1961 but many of the recordings for NBC were songs he didn't commercially record, The musicians were known as The Sinatra Symphonette and consisted of Bill Miller on piano, possibly Al Viola or Tony Mottola on guitar, possibly Sunny Salad on alto-sax, clarinet & flute and possibly Johnny Blowers on drums - the reference to "local 47" is I believe a musicians union. The intro is spoken by Eddie King and the music is the Walking and Whistling Blues by Les Paul.
