He has given us all green things and everything that blossoms and bears fruit and all that we quarrel about and all that we have misused--and to save us from our foolishness, from all our sins, He came down to earth and gave us Himself.

NOTES ABOUT THE MUSIC IN TODAY 'S SERVICE
Our music today is from the early American tradition led by the Shaker and Moravian movements, American poets and hymn writers who have shaped our church music. Huguenot Memorial Church, founded in 1876, would have been very familiar with much of the music sung today. “O Little Town
of Bethlehem” was composed only eight years prior. Our rich American and African-American heritage of music has given us beautiful and inspiring examples that continue to shape our tradition into the future.
