Be Kind Rewind’s Isabel Custodio Discusses A FOREIGN AFFAIR | New Voices of Cinema | TCM

Turner Classic Movies is kicking off a special night of programming called “New Voices of Film” with Dave Karger to inspire others with a love of classic cinema. We invited Isabel “Izzy” Custodio, the talented creator behind the popular YouTube channel “Be Kind Rewind,” to share her thoughts about Billy Wilder’s “A Foreign Affair” (1948), which features Jean Arthur, Marlene Dietrich, and John Lund. In her discussion, Custodio expresses her admiration for Dietrich’s comedic performance, the contrast of the film’s setting of post-war Berlin with her own experiences living in the city, and examines the differences between the two leading actresses.
