Stephen Jones has released another update to the progress of the STE version of R-Type, called "STNICCC preview".
Now all stages are playable even if i only get to stage 6 without cheat, but i play on easy difficulty or else i would probably not even get to stage 3 :)
This version is not finished and it is most noticable on the battleship level, still playable though.

Recorded from my Atari STE (4 mb) having Ultrasatan as mass storage device using Micomsoft RGB capturecard SC-500N1 and Xsync-1, software used is AmarecTV and Virtualdub.
